Privacy
Short version: we collect what you type into our form or give with your gift, we use it to reply to you and send your receipt, and we do not sell it.

What we collect
If you fill in our interest form, we receive your name, your email address, the option you picked from the dropdown, and whatever you write in the message box. If you tick the newsletter box, we record that too.
If you give, Givebutter passes us your name, your email address and the amount of your gift.
We do not run the scholarship application on this site. Essay contest entries are taken elsewhere, and this site never receives them.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to send your receipt if you give, and to tell you when something happens that you asked to hear about. That's all we use it for.
Who else sees it
Three companies, and nobody else. Formspree receives what you type into our form and passes it on to us by email. Vercel hosts this site and sees what any web server sees: which pages were asked for, and the address that asked.
We run no analytics. Nobody is counting your visit, and nothing here follows you once you leave.
Gifts are made on Givebutter, not on this site. Givebutter and its payment processor handle your payment details and pass us your name, email address and the amount, so we can send your receipt and thank you. We never see your full card number. Givebutter's own privacy policy covers what happens on its pages.
We do not sell or share your details.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send us for as long as we are still in touch about it, and no longer than two years. If you are on the newsletter, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe, and we delete it after that.
Records of a gift are kept for seven years, under our document retention policy.
Asking us to delete it
Email openroadfdn.admin@gmail.com and we will remove you. You do not have to give a reason. Records of a gift are the one exception: we keep those for seven years, and remove you from everything else.
Children
Students under 18 are welcome to contact us through the form. We ask for no more than a name and an email address, and we do not knowingly collect anything else about a minor on this site.
